App Payment Policy

Processing Fees
Processing Fees: Pocket Giving deducts a processing fee from each payment made through the App. The processing fee covers the costs associated with payment processing, app maintenance, and support. The specific processing fee will be clearly communicated to you during the payment process.
Payment Confirmation and Receipts
Confirmation: Upon successful completion of a payment transaction through the App, you will receive a confirmation notification within the App and, if applicable, via email. This confirmation will serve as proof of your payment.
Receipts: Pocket Giving will provide receipts for payments made through the App upon request. To request a receipt, please contact our support team at Support@pocketgiving.co.uk and provide relevant details regarding the payment transaction.
Refunds and Disputes

Gift Aid Policy
Introduction
This Gift Aid Policy (the "Policy") outlines the terms and conditions for the processing of Gift Aid donations through the Pocket Giving Ltd app (the "App"). Pocket Giving Ltd ("Pocket Giving," "we," or "us") is committed to ensuring compliance with the relevant laws and regulations governing Gift Aid in the United Kingdom. This Policy sets out the procedures for collecting and processing Gift Aid on behalf of charities, including the deduction of a 5% processing fee, and the subsequent disbursement of the remaining funds to the designated charities.
Gift Aid Collection
Eligibility: To be eligible for Gift Aid, the donor must be a UK taxpayer and have paid an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for the tax year that is at least equal to the amount of Gift Aid claimed on their donations.
Consent: Prior to collecting Gift Aid, the donor must provide explicit consent and confirm that they understand the Gift Aid requirements. This consent will be obtained through a clear and easily understandable process within the App.
Verification: Pocket Giving will verify the eligibility of each donor by conducting necessary checks to confirm their taxpayer status and the validity of their Gift Aid claim. This verification process will be conducted in compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulations.
Gift Aid Processing Fee: Pocket Giving will deduct a 5% processing fee from the total Gift Aid amount claimed on each donation made through the App. This fee covers the costs associated with collecting, processing, and disbursing the Gift Aid funds to the designated charities.
Disbursement of Funds
Timelines: Pocket Giving will disburse the Gift Aid funds to the designated charities on a regular basis, typically within 30 days of receipt from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). Any delays in disbursement will be promptly communicated to the relevant charities.
Charitable Donations: The remaining Gift Aid funds, after the deduction of the processing fee, will be disbursed in full to the designated charities, in accordance with the donor's intentions and instructions.
Reporting: Pocket Giving will provide the charities with regular reports detailing the Gift Aid funds collected and disbursed on their behalf. These reports will include sufficient information to enable accurate accounting and reconciliation.
Compliance and Record Keeping
Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Pocket Giving will adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing Gift Aid, including those set forth by HMRC and the Charity Commission. We will ensure that our operations are conducted in a transparent, ethical, and legal manner.
Record Keeping: Pocket Giving will maintain accurate and complete records of all Gift Aid donations processed through the App, including donor information, consent records, verification documentation, disbursement records, and any other relevant details. These records will be securely stored and made available for inspection by relevant authorities if required.
Amendments to the Policy
Pocket Giving reserves the right to amend this Gift Aid Policy at any time. In the event of any changes, the updated Policy will be made available on the Pocket Giving website and communicated to the relevant charities and donors as appropriate.
