Dear brothers and sisters, We are trying to raise money on behalf of our beloved friend, Absi Ahmed who sadly returned to Allah on Tuesday 7th of April.
We are aiming to raise £15,000 to carry out various projects in Yemen & Afghanistan dependant on the amount of funds raised. As part of the funds raised we hope to do a water project in a rural area of Afghanistan, where women and children have to walk miles for water.
Absi would regularly encourage us all to attend salah at the mosque especially throughout Ramadan and he would always greet us with a smile that would fill the room no matter the circumstances and would always make us laugh. Absi was also know for being helpful and kind towards his classmates and those around him.
Moulana Ashfaq (Imam of Blackpool Central Mosque) will be InshaAllah personally visiting Yemen, overseeing the projects.
