Project Story
Seven Spikes Relief Foundation - Inaya’s Smile School
Inaya’s Smile School began in a tent.
When schools were destroyed and education halted for over two years, a group of qualified teachers stepped forward to protect the future of 350 displaced children in Al Nuseirat Camp, Gaza.
Today, the school provides free education, psychological support, and stability to children who have lost homes, loved ones, and access to formal schooling.
We are raising funds to secure six months of running costs and essential classroom infrastructure — ensuring these children can continue learning safely and with dignity.
We are looking to raise £62,611 which consists of £18,295 one-off costs and monthly maintenance costs of £7,386 where we are looking to secure six months coverage.
Inaya’s Smile School was established in June 2025 by experienced postgraduate-qualified teachers determined to prevent an entire generation from losing their education due to conflict.
Located in Al Nuseirat Camp, Gaza, the school serves 350 students in Grades 5–9 and is officially accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Education.
Over 90% of schools in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed, leaving hundreds of thousands of children without structured learning environments. Many students have experienced displacement, trauma, and severe interruption to their education.
The school began with a small tent and basic supplies. Through determination and community support, it now delivers:
• Core academic subjects (Arabic, English, Maths, Science)
• Psychological counselling workshops
• Trauma-informed support sessions
• Educational follow-up with families
However, funding remains the biggest challenge.
This project aims to secure:
• Essential classroom furniture and equipment
• Learning materials for 350 students
• Safe water and sanitation facilities
• Emergency supplies
• Teaching staff salaries
• Six months of operational continuity
Total Project Cost: £62,611
This funding will secure six months of safe, structured education for 350 displaced children.
